Professional development
I am a fully qualified acupuncturist and a member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC). I have been practicing classical five element acupuncture for 15 years since graduating with a first class honors degree/Lic Ac from Oxford Brookes University. Since then I have continued to train with the eminent Niki Bilton, within a dedicated post graduate learning group. Niki is academic dean at the Ongiara College of Acupuncture and Moxibustion in Ontario. She teaches across the globe. My post graduate training has deepened my knowledge considerably and has enabled me to treat some very complex cases, with fantastic results. Scroll down for more details of some of the additional training I have completed since starting my practice.
Additional training
Acupuncture in Pregnancy with leader in the field Debra Betts.
I remain up to date with the evidence base in the field of obstetric acupuncture, including emerging evidence around fertility and IVF protocols. Whilst I am trained in IVF protocols I generally use bespoke treatments for each individual client as during my years in practice I have found these to be more effective. I am, however, happy to discuss your individual needs in this area.
The art of moxibustion with Merlin Young.
First Aid (updated every 3 years).
I have a special interest in acupuncture for digestive issues and am widely read in this subject. Training courses are too many to list.
More recent training has been with Josephine Spilka in the use of essential oils and I have completed Nectar of Plants parts I to III.
I have completed hundreds of hours of post graduate training so the information above is not exhaustive. If you have a specific question about my training please do not hesitate to contact me.
